Introduction

My name is Asha Durham and I am a (Corporate Business Communication) Senior finally!! I am a 23 year old female from Brooklyn, but now reside in The Bronx. I work for a Public Relations agency in midtown as an Account Coordinator in various departments. For the most part, I handle the financial paperwork, event planning, travel, and meeting logistics. I have been there for 3 years now and plan to move up or on once I graduate from Baruch in May '10.

Personal Information

Outside of my full-time PR job mentioned above I also have an event planning business of my own. I cater to both the young and old; from parties to concerts to corporate events. With my hectic schedule, it hasn't received the necessary attention, but once I'm done here I will be sure to give it my all.

The reason I chose this course besides needing an elective :-) was to broaden my knowledge in the media department. I hear about so many things at work, but don't work on them hands-on as much as I should because of the knowledge that I lack in certain areas. So I decided to take this class as well as a Writing for Public Relations class to help me out.
