Introduction: Where did I come from?

My name is Diana D. I originated from South America. My mother was a midwife in Guyana and received sponsorship through her nursing degree while my father stayed behind to complete his plans to own and operate a land surveyor business. My mother's employer was very generous. They supplied us with housing for a set period of time until we became assimilated to the culture and surroundings of New York. My mother is now a proud recipient of her Master's degree in Nursing and is my role model. --Dianadover091 05:30, 28 February 2009 (CST)

Me now....

I have taken shortcuts on a few of the life lessons that my mother tried to teach me. I became a US citizen recently and striving to pursue the American dream and will be graduating in September 2009.I have been and will always be very fortunate. I say this because many people have allowed the situations that have arisen due to misfortunes to monopolize on their negativity. I firmly believe in channeling my positive energy in any given situation due to my inner strength. This is also attributed to the few people that are kept in my inner circle that are ambitious, motivating and strong willed. I am a single parent, senior at Baruch, and an insurance agent. CIS 3810 is a part of my Information Technology & Social Responsibility minor. My major is Human Resource Management. If anyone else is majoring in HR, feel free to connect with me(DianaDover@gmail.com). It is a pleasure to be a part of this class. It excites me to know that I am taking a class that has instantaneous real world applications. --Dianadover091 05:30, 28 February 2009 (CST)
