Biography
Hi, all! My name is Vinita Singh. I was born in Suriname, however, my parents and 3 brothers were born in Guyana so I just say I'm Guyanese. I came to New York when I was about 3 and a half years old. I lived in the Bronx for a couple of years when I was younger, moved to Queens for about a year, moved back to the bronx until my freshman year of college, when I moved back to Queens to live with my mom, it's where I currently reside. I do still go to the Bronx a lot during the week and/or almost every weekend. My best friend, Alvin, my dad, my cousins, and other close friends live there, so that's where the fun is.
Education
I went to Stevenson HS in the Bronx. My freshman year of college I went to Fordham University. I transferred to St. John's University in my sophmore year. Finally I transferred to Baruch College in what would be my junior year (but I fear I've lost a lot of credits, so I don't really know what my status is =\ ) I do wish I came to Baruch from the beginning (unless I had received a very decent financial aid package) just because Fordham was extremely expensive. Baruch has been good to me in that aspect, and hopefully I get to finish sooner than later, and jump into our economy =) I'm currently an accounting major, I'm a little hesitant about it, but science didn't work out for me and I'm not big on arguing so accounting is my "safe" bet.
Experience
I'm currently working part time near 51st street. Before, between, and after class on certain days I would go to work. I created a crazy schedule for myself this semester with all the back and forth traveling I do. But, I've learned my lesson. I do need to start looking for internships or a more major related pt job.
Hobbies
My hobbies include dancing, eating, listening to music, reading, watching movies/tv, and hanging out with my close friends/cousins.
