Introduction

My name is Trevene Chance and I am from the island of Jamaica. I lived there for about 10 years before coming back to NY. While in high school there, I discovered my love for accounting, and decided I would make a career out of it, therefore made accounting my major for my first degree. My most fluent language a part from English is Sign Language, unfortunately I don't utilize it as much because no one around me understands it. I learn a lot or practical activities by trial and error, one such thing is building a website, or trying to find out what's wrong with a desktop/laptop. I tend to fix the error because of my stubbornness. I am shy, but I don't play around with my work; with that said I look forward to working with everyone in this class!

Baruch College Involvements

I whave worked on campus as a Freshmen Seminar Mentor. For those who remembered this class and loved it, I was the mentor for the about 20 freshmen last semester. I also worked as an Orientation Leader during the Winter 2010 intersession. It was mainly with transfer students. I have fun working in both areas becuase of the interaction and th ability to help the 'newbees' to Baruch! Right now I am working as a Peer Advisor in the Center for Academic Advisement. I may have seen or even helped you, if not, maybe in the near future!

I am actively involed in Phi Eta Sigma, a honor society mainly geared towards freshmen and sophomores, becuase that is when you are inducted; you are a member for life though. We have a lot of volunteer events, if your interested feel free to let me know, especially if you need volunteer hours! As mentioned above, I am the webmaster, so please feel free to check out our siteand tell me what you think.
