How to link to your ppt file

How to link to your ppt presentation from any page in the wiki:

  • 1. Upload your ppt file to the wiki
  • 2. Go to Special pages --> file list
  • 3. Find the file you just uploaded and click on it. You will see a wiki page with a lot of descriptive information.
  • 4. Right Click on file name --> copy shortcut. This will copy to the clipboard the url of the actual ppt file not the page with the descriptive info.
  • 5. Now, go to the page in which you want to embed the link to the ppt file
  • 6. Click on edit tab
  • 7. Insert this code in an appropriate place: [ url <space> name_4_link ]
