LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a social community not unlike the popular website
Facebook. For those who are familiar with Facebook, LinkedIn works in a similar way but is primarily focused on helping people find career opportunities. Once you sign up for an account, a profile is created which includes information about your career and education. Other information may also be included that may help further your career such as your strengths and desires for your career path.
The central vision for LinkedIn is to let friends, family, friends of friends, and so on network with one another to share information about career insight and opportunities. There are tools one can use to search for people who work at specific companies or have gone to the same school. Other tools include finding old friends and colleagues and getting "LinkedIn" with them. Also companies are able to post job openings and any user can search the listings by specific occupation, industry, or company.
