What is New Media?
Also called social media, the new media are internet-based (Web 2.0) technologies that collectively are characterized by the 5 c's: communication, collaboration (e.g., wikis such as this), community (e.g., social networking sites like Facebook), creativity (e.g., user-generated content), and convergence (e.g., mashups).

It would be no surprise that student productivity would increase thanks to the implementation of new media in the classroom. There are no wrong questions or embarrasing suggestions new media can diminish all this by providing a performer 5 outlet where being yourself is an acceptable form. Where you work as a team and learn as a team.
