Creating an Account for Wiki ?

Follow the steps below to create an account for wiki at Baruch media.

• Goto Baruch Wiki
• Click "log in / create account" on top right corner or click here login
• Click New Account
• Enter information like Name , user name and passwords
• Save your user name and password.

Creating a New Page

• Login to Your Account
• In the Left Panel " Search Box " , Type Name of the page you want to create in the search box.
• Click Go.
• You will see an empty page.In the first line Click "Create this Page"
• Click Save to make this a page.

Editing a page

• Goto the page you want to edit.i.e Enter the page in Search Box and then Go.
• Click the top third button " Edit"
• Write or paste any information.
• Click Save chnges.

Linking a page

• Click edit
• Copy and paste a link within brackets [ ]
• Type a name for the link within the same brackets after the address.Provide space.
• Click Save.

Upoading an image

• Click Upload Files under "Search Box " or click here Upload
• Browse the image file from your comupter
• In the "Destination File name" field enter a name for image e.g pic1
• Click Upload file
• Now goto your wiki page where you want to place this image.
• Click Edit page and Click Embedded Image Button (After A button )
• You would See this on your page "Image:Example.jpg" between 2 brackets .
• Replace example.jpg with your image name written in step 3
• Now it should be like this (pic 1 is my image name yours will be what you wrote in step 3)
• Click save (Tip: Always give an image a new name e.g pic 1 , pic 2 )

Heading , Bold Text and Formating

• Goto Your page
• Cick Edit
• The list of button on the top provides all these tools
• Click on any button
• Type text information or link as required

Adding your page to the main page

• Click Main page
• Click Edit Scroll down all the way until end
• Type name of your page in this format between == signs.e.g == my page ==
• Type little information about the page.e.g This is my new media page
• Copy and paste your link bewteen [ ].e.g [ http://baruchnewmedia.com/wiki/index.php]
• To give a name to your link add a title after your link address inside the brackets.e.g [[ http://baruchnewmedia.com/wiki/index.php My page ]
• Save Your Work

Copying or Formating codes from other Wiki pages

• Goto the page whose code you want to copy
• Click Edit
• Copy the code you want
• Paste the code in your page
• Format the code as required
• Save the work.
